This course elaborates the principles, theories, procedures, criteria, selection, and model of teaching material development in language education to establish students’ character and 21st-century skills/competencies. Besides, the students are expected to be able to practice applying the concepts so that products of teaching material-based character and technology can be made through workshops. The learners are also expected to evaluate the previous textbooks, review articles in journals as well as books, write a research-based paper, and produce teaching materials.
