This course concentrates more on enabling students to comprehend implicit information in

various types of spoken English texts. In addition to the listening skills learned in the

previous course, the students are provided with the learning opportunities to develop and

practice further skills of listening, i.e. recognizing cohesive devices, understanding accents,

inferring meanings and relationship between ideas, and understanding stress and

intonation.
